Sunny day after all

Good Evening,

We had a lovely day celebrating Grandma Peggy's 39th Birthday. Xander and Molly both helped with the candles on the cake and Max helped by blowing them out. Fortunately, we didn't need to get out the fire extinguisher because of the strategically placed candles (good job Xan!)

Later in the afternoon, Xander had a great day playing with Hobbes and also got to hang out with Elli today! It turned out to be so sunny and nice right when she arrived! They spent the afternoon at the park and playing The Game of Life (one of Elli's favorites!)

Hobbes has finally outgrown Xander at 90 pounds (Xan is 83 pounds).

Ultrasound tomorrow and working on getting everything together for the hospital stay. While we are inpatient, we will have to feed Xander food following the neutropenic diet guidelines. Most importantly, that means single-serve items and not serving him things that are RAW. There are just a handful of fruits that he can eat and only cooked veggies for now. I'm recalling how challenging this was last time and thinking of ways to keep him excited about eating while he is not wanting to eat. We also got his smoothie recipe from his nutritional doctor that will help with the side-effects of the chemo, so we are moving forward with getting him eating that, even before he goes in.

Thank you to all of Xander's followers. Have a great night,
Emilie
