A new love

Good Morning,

Day +92

Last week, Xander was cut down to 10mg of Prednisone. The start to this was a bit rocky, but it seems to have leveled out now. Unfortunately, on the same day he had another dose of Rituximab which causes him great bowel discomfort, in addition to reducing the Prednisone. He has been a trooper and we have been very careful with what he chooses to eat. We are still working on the triglycerides issue and will have more follow-up tests.

He had his first RIFE treatment yesterday at Dr. Kyle's office and we will hopefully see the positive effects of that over these next couple of days. We are hoping for lots of improvements! So far, his energy level has been better and his skin looks the best it has since we started this transplant. (His skin was so bad, we couldn't touch it without him screaming....now he can wear jeans and it doesn't bother him at all - yay).

I think that baby step by baby step he is improving.

The new love and highlight of the week....
Chris and George took Xander out for his first fishing experience ever! He had beginner's luck and caught this beauty, along with 2 others on his first trip out.

First Catch Ever! and Biggest Smile in Months!

This adventure sparked his new love for fishing, so he convinced Chris to take him out again.. this time catching the biggest fish of the day, a large mouth bass. Xander says it was at least 11" long.  It is jumping around in the picture...

Fishing with George

Many of you may ask if he kept the fish... no, Chris had flattened the barb so that they could easily throw them back. I think this bass was happy to go back home, Xan said he put up a fight. Xan wants to head to the great lakes now to catch a really big fish... and eat it too.

Peace and Love to all of Xander's followers,

Emilie
