We have gotten some much needed rest over the past week and have gotten a lot accomplished too! (Well... not quite a whole week, but whose counting??)
Xan took a long nap on Sunday, I found him with this book by his head.
Xander has been to clinic twice since he left the hospital. His white blood cells are maintaining low level counts (has not needed neupogen shots!) and he continues to make his own hemoglobin and platelets! This is great news. His platelets were 80 today! He has not needed any transfusions since he left the hospital. This also means that sometime soon his clinic appointments will move to once a week rather than twice. a week, also getting into a more comfortable routine on a daily basis.
He needs to eat more, he has lost some weight, but this is just a "ramping back up" kind of thing. He is working on it and his nausea issues have been A LOT better over the past few days.
His spirits are up and he is really razzing his sister a bunch.
Aaron and Xander have said hi to his nurses on 7 East a couple of times, but here is a shout out to all of you that we haven't seen! We love you and thank you so much for all you do.
We hope you all are enjoying your summer so far! We are hoping to get a low-key trip in over the next couple of weeks - but of course, that is after the massive family yard sale next weekend! We cleaned out a LOT of stuff (kudos from the team :)
We'll continue to keep you posted.
Peace and Love
