Xander (and thus the family) was discharged late Monday afternoon from Mott. Lots of doctors, nurses, staff and other families gave big hugs to us and wished us well. It was really awesome to go as a family. Just getting home and unloaded was a exhausting logistical challenge, however. For dinner, we had some fine family comfort food - an extra well done, potato, spinach, mushroom, and garlic pizza from Anthony's Pizza (WAY best pizza in Ann Arbor).
As for today… Xander, Molly, Emilie and I took this most beautiful of Michigan summer days and turned it into a real holiday.
Today for Xander included washing ferrets, hose play, breakfast outside, a really great chiropractic visit with Dr. Gibson, and playing with Noa while falling asleep for few hours until dark in the hammock.
Yesterday is history
Tomorrow is mystery
Today has definitely been a gift!
