This is the Biography of me, Alexander Salsitz (I prefer Xander). I am a 13 year old boy who's life changed in January 2012 when I was diagnosed with MDS (Myelodysplastic Syndrome). I have had 3 bone marrow transplants since then, the most recent one in April 2013. This blog documents my journey, beginning with my diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing recovery.

Magic Fort
Xander and I took a walk at bird hills park yesterday. Kelly and Margo, parents of friends in Xander's second grade class, mentioned this space. The first time we walked around the woods, we started on Newport and walked the other way, completely missing this really awesomeness.
Kelly had mentioned that this particular hill and fort brought her to a grounded place where the vibrational energy of the universe passes. Xander and I knew that we had a personally challenging situation later in the morning so we spent a little time here enjoying this very strange 47 degree weather and the wonderful feeling of a big warm hug ❤ from the universe.
