An Ann Arbor Tradition - Xander Rocks

Painting The Rock is an Ann Arbor tradition. A message appeared yesterday afternoon, if not just for a fleeting moment before Greek Rush took over. The UofM students were shaking the spray cans to cover the message when I arrived - all of them were super cool about waiting and even offered not to paint over the message. I explained as an Ann Arbor local, I know The Rock gets painted during Rush sometimes 3 time a day - paint away! They all sent their best regards for Xander's healing and recovery.
All of us send our love and thanks to all the Rudolf Steiner School of Ann Arbor and especially the class of 2022 (Grade 2). Thanks for the biggest love message EVER! We miss you.

  1. I am so glad you got there in time. As I told Josie, "You are not officially from Ann Arbor until you have painted the rock." Now the rock is like Clark Kent. Underneath the suit of paint lies a Super Hero. Xander Rocks!

  3. That is amazing! Jasmine was sick so we couldn't paint the rock with the class, but we are so happy to see the pictures! Molly, it is great to see you in the photos, too!

I know what I'll think of every time I drive by that corner....Xander Rocks! Molly Rocks! The Whole Salsitz Family Rocks!

Lots of love from the Lowensteins!

  5. Update: Today I drove by the rock and I actually did think what I wrote above...complete with excalamation points and and a smile ear to ear!

I'm praying and hoping that the rash is clearing, that your blood counts are doing what you want and that your appetite and spirits are up.

    Lots of love,

    Margo
